About ME

Hi, I'm Amanda, your dedicated doula in the South Shore/Boston area!

I am here to support you as Certified DONA Birth Doula, DONA Postpartum Doula, and Certified VBAC Doula.

In addition to my Doula training, Iโ€™m Certified in adult, child, and infant CPR/First Aid to ensure the safety of the families I support.

HOW IT STARTED

Meet your Darling Doulaโ€ฆ

Caring for others has always been a central part of my life. Ever since I was little girl, I have been fascinated by birthโ€”one of my favorite shows when I was young was โ€œA Baby Storyโ€ on TLC! I started babysitting when I was 14 years old and quickly became known for my calming presence--especially with babies. With over a decade of experience as a CNA, and Mental Health Associate, I have spent my life caring for others. One of my most meaningful chapters of my career began when I started working at the first non-institutionalized dementia and hospice home in New England in 2012. I became one of the lead CNAโ€™s, helped lead dementia care trainings, and eventually served as the Life Enrichment Activity Director. During this time, I also earned my degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).

I loved working closely with families and patients, especially in memory care. But after becoming pregnant with my daughter in early 2020โ€”and navigating a difficult pregnancy during the height of the pandemicโ€”I made the difficult decision to step away from clinical care. It was one of the hardest, yet clearest, choices Iโ€™ve ever made. Since then, Iโ€™ve embraced life as a stay-at-home mom to two fun & energetic toddlers (girl and boy), while continuing part-time companion work with dementia clients.

My journey of becoming a Doula didnโ€™t happen overnight, it was a path shaped by years of hands-on experience and a deep love for nurturing people through lifeโ€™s most vulnerable moments. Motherhood shifted everything for me. It reawakened by passion for babies, birth, and emotional well-being, and helped me realize that I still wanted to care for people, just in a more heart-centered way. That calling led me to birth work! A close friend introduced me to the profession, and encouraged me to pursue it, saying it was a natural fit for me. She was right! I enrolled in a DONA Birth Doula training course in December 2024, and from the very first class, I knew I had found my place.

Now as a Certified DONA Birth Doula, DONA Postpartum Doula, and Certified VBAC doula, I combine my deep love for babies, birth, and mental health to be alongside families through one of lifeโ€™s most meaningful and powerful transitions. Iโ€™m so grateful to be on this journey and absolutely honored to do this work.

๐‘ The natural ability of women to birth, trusting that their bodies were created for this.
