DOULA services

I'm happy you're considering having a Doula with you.

This journey is a special and transformative time, and a Doula can offer the support, guidance, and comfort you deserve. Together, we can navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys, ensuring you feel empowered and cherished every step of the way. I'm honored to be part of your experience and help make it truly unforgettable.

01. Your Darling Doula Birthing Package

Starting 2 weeks before your due date, I am officially on call for you. This means I keep my phone on me at all times and remain local to ensure I can respond quickly when labor begins. You’ll have a peace of mind knowing that I’m close by, ready to support you whenever you need me!

I provide early labor support through phone and text, offering guidance, reassurance, and reminders tailored to your birth plan. Once active labor begins, we’ll decide together the right time for me to join you at your birth. During labor, I assist with positioning, comfort techniques, and strategies to support baby’s descent, and encourage steady progress. I will help assist you with breathing techniques, apply counterpressure, offer aromatherapy, affirmations, and help create a calming atmosphere. I bring a variety of tools in my doula bag to help create a calming, beautiful birth space. I am also trained in using a TENS unit (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). TENS can be used with other comfort measures and may help to postpone or avoid the use of an epidural. There is no reported harm to parent or baby as a result of TENS use. Most importantly, I’m there to support and empower both you and your partner.

Immediately after your baby is born, I will be with you for an hour to help assist with breastfeeding (if you choose to) or formula feeding, as well as questions with newborn care.

Includes:

𑁍 Free Consultation: Initial meeting to discuss your needs and goals.

𑁍 2 Prenatal Visits: Once you sign a contract with me, my services include 2 In-home or virtual sessions. These visits give us time to get to know each other so that I can support you in an informed way.

At that time, we will go over your questions, birth plan, and other important details like packing your birth bag. I will provide you with evidence-based handouts, and offer ways to help promote relaxation and positioning suggestions for labor. We will also discuss postpartum care and what to expect because that is very important!

𑁍 Unlimited Text/Email Support: Available throughout your pregnancy for questions and guidance.

𑁍 Continuous Labor Support: Presence and support during labor and delivery.

𑁍 1 Postpartum Visit: In-home visit within the first 2 weeks after birth to assist with early postpartum needs. I’ll visit you with a coffee, smoothie, or postpartum meal for a special postpartum check-in. During this time, we’ll reflect on your birth experience, talk through any questions or concerns about newborn care, and address any feeding challenges you may be facing. I’ll also share helpful postpartum resources and support tailored to your needs. I have many community resources and referral lists.

PRICE: $1500- At this time, Your Darling Doula does not accept payments through insurance.

As a Postpartum Doula, I provide non-medical support that nurtures and uplifts new families during the tender early days of parenthood. While doctors, midwives, and nurses focus on the health of the birthing person and baby, my role is to meet the practical and emotional needs of the entire family. I offer evidence-based guidance to help with infant care, emotional/physical recovery, feeding, soothing, and household organization—supporting you as you settle into your new role with confidence and reassurance! I also collaborate with your wider care team and, when appropriate, provide referrals to trusted professionals such as lactation consultants, pediatricians, or support groups. With a deep understanding of the emotional and practical shifts that come with a new baby, I bring compassion, presence, and an extra set of steady hands to walk alongside you in this sacred season!

As your Doula, I’ll enter your home with a calm presence. I have hands-on experience in newborn care, maternal and paternal recovery, and have tips for time-saving strategies to ease your transition into parenthood. Bonding with your baby feels more natural when you’ve had a nourishing meal, a refreshing shower, a well-earned nap…and a little company to remind you that you’re not in this alone!

Postpartum Doula support is designed to reduce feelings of isolation and improve sleep—two essential factors in protecting your mental health. By addressing these needs early on, we help lower the risk of postpartum mood disorders and depression, setting the foundation for a more peaceful and confident start to parenthood.

When baby is born, Your Darling Doula comes to your home to provide:

𑁍 Free Consultation: Initial meeting to discuss your needs and goals. We will figure out the best hours I can serve you.

𑁍 Tender emotional support as you heal and adjust. I want to be able to encourage confidence and self-trust during the postpartum transition!

𑁍 Education on postpartum issues and recovery

𑁍 Guidance with newborn care and feeding

𑁍 Breastfeeding support and tips/Formula feeding support and tips

𑁍 Baby soothing techniques

𑁍 Assistance with postpartum wellness routines such as sitz baths and foot soaks

𑁍 Meal prep

𑁍 Light housekeeping (ie: light laundry and folding, tidying up, dishes, bottle sanitizing, etc)

𑁍 Helping with baby (or babies) so you can take a nap, shower, etc.

𑁍Sibling care: No two babies—and no two postpartum journeys are ever the same! Sometimes it’s baby number two (or three…or four!) that brings the biggest surprises. Helping big siblings adjust to their new role is one of my favorite parts of postpartum support, because everyone in the family deserves a little extra love during this big change!

Unlike birth support, postpartum support is scheduled in advance, and often changes over the course of a contract. These services may last anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks.

Let's get through the Postpartum chapter together.

I would love to hear from you.

  • "When I faced the unexpected challenge of needing to be induced due to preeclampsia, Amanda was right there, ready to do whatever it took to ensure I felt safe and heard. She respected not only my wishes but also built a respectful rapport with the staff, which allowed me to focus on my needs and communicate effectively about our birth plan. "

    -Michelle F.

  • "As a nervous first-time mom, I had asked Amanda to help promote a calm experience during the birth and once she arrived at the hospital, she began transforming my tiny labor room into a peaceful, zen-like sanctuary. Before I knew it, she had a diffuser with lavender oil and small twinkle lights strung on the wall in front of me. She played soft spa music and started a hand and foot massage with lotion during my contractions to help me relax. All the providers that came into my room commented on how lovely her set up was, saying “this was the most calming and best smelling room on the entire unit”. I was so proud to have someone who cared so much about my experience as a pregnant woman, she took all my fears and turned them into a positive experience"

    -Gabrielle M.

  • "She was by my side through every contraction, offering comfort measures, emotional reassurance, and unwavering advocacy. Her intuitive understanding of what I needed—sometimes even before I could say it—made a world of difference. I couldn’t have asked for a more nurturing and steady presence during such a life-changing time."
